"Forget the week" Thursday presents fellow Kluckr Gayleen's favorite danger the "Blood Orange French 75"

This little drink was named after one of the most potent field weapons of the time to give you a sense of its kick.

Blood Orange French 75

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces London dry gin
  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 5 ounces Brut champagne
  • Garnish with a Blood Orange

Shake well with cracked ice in a chilled cocktail shaker, then strain into a Collins glass half-full of cracked ice and top off with champagne.

Had a couple of these last week...still recovering.
